Jessica Ohren obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management with Marketing from the University of Winchester and subsequently worked in a number of Financial and Administrative roles at the Isle of Wight Council.
Jess relocated from the Isle of Wight and joined the Faculty of Engineering and Design at the University of Bath in 2014, working in the faculty finance department, with a short secondment supporting the faculty postgraduate admissions team before moving to the Department of Mathematical Sciences in 2016. In Maths, Jess worked as the Centre Coordinator for the SAMBa CDT (Statistical Applied Mathematics CDT) and supported the CMP CDT (Condensed Matter Physics) which was jointly run by the University of Bristol. This role gave her a considerable amount of experience of working in a CDT environment and supporting Postgraduate Students, so when AAPS was awarded funding, she supported the academic team with the initial stages of setting AAPS up, before applying for the role as Student Experience and Programme Office in August 2019.
Jess enjoys finding new places to eat and drink with friends, going on holidays and exploring on city breaks. She also enjoys going to the theatre, watching live music (including going to festivals) and live comedy shows. Being from the Isle of Wight she loves to go for beach walks with her dog, Rupert.
